What is Coaching?

The coach acts as a sounding board, offers alternative viewpoints, asks probing questions, and – when appropriate – offers training, advice, and insights. Coaching is defined by the International Coaching Federation (ICF, through which I’m credentialed) as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize their personal and professional potential.” Our goal will be to help you gain clarity about what’s stopping you from moving forward in an area that matters to you and planning actionable next steps.” Please note: Coaching isn't consulting, mentoring, or therapy. Is coaching confidential?

Yes, strictly confidential.

Here are the caveats:

If you are sponsored by a third party, they may require updates. The timing and method of these updates must be approved by you in writing. You will be responsible for making the update, but I will participate if you request it.
if you tell me that you plan to (a) break the law or (b) cause harm to yourself or others. In these instances, every coach is obligated to report that intent to the proper authorities.
To protect your privacy, all session notes are destroyed once you complete your coaching program. The only information I’m obligated to retain for my records is your name and the date(s) we met, which I may be asked to report to ICF in aggregate form as part of a random audit. I store this information in a password protected Excel spreadsheet on a password-protected laptop, and anything related to you and our coaching sessions is strictly confidential.
Data collection and storage follow the two strictest data privacy regulations: California Privacy Rights Disclosure (CPRD) and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) [K - Include link]. For details, click on the link in the footer (global privacy statement)

Do you give refunds?

I have a No Refund Policy. I love working with people who commit to playing full out. If you’re in, you’re in. It’s either “Hell Yes,” or it’s “No, for now.”

Your success is what you make of your coaching experience (i.e., what you learn about yourself and situation) during and between sessions.

How can I pay? Can I do installments?

You make your payment(s) via Stripe when you schedule your session(s) online. Through Stripe, you will have several options, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and major credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

Installments are not available. However, you can sign up for 1 or 2, 90-minute sessions.

We also accept checks if received before the first session.

If the services are being paid by a company, I'll provide an invoice as needed by their business requirements.
